As the newly-telected 15th President (2023 - 2024) of the Korean Society of Interventional Radiology (KSIR), I would like to convey my best wishes to all our members.

Fortunately, the situation related to COVID-19 has settled to some extent, and social distancing has been eased. We now look forward to resuming our everyday lives where our members can engage in social and academic activities. Coming into the new term, the newly-appointed executive committee aims to pursue a paradigm shift in health care, especially essential medical care.

Many hard-working members of our society have dedicated their time and effort to the core areas of essential medical care, such as emergency and trauma intervention. These efforts need more recognition and support. In the new term, members of the KSIR board will actively engage in discussions to implement new policies supporting those dedicated to essential medical care. Meanwhile, your interest and encouragement will help our society accomplish these goals.
